Make sure students complete all prerequisites before they can move ahead in your course!

For every activity in your course it is possible to specify when students can access and interact with it.
One way you can do this is by specifying other activities that have to be completed first – we call these 🔏 prerequisites.

Setting a Lesson as a Prerequisite
In your Course Builder, any of your content pages can now be set as a prerequisite. What that means is that in order for a student to move past it, they will need to complete the lesson. For example, successfully passing a quiz or completing a survey, and then use the Next button to mark the lesson as completed.

How to Set Prerequisites ?
Go to Classroom tab and click on the classroom you want to set prerequisite. We clicked on Design Classes
Next click on three dots (ellipses) and click Mark as Prerequisite
Click Publish Changes to save the changes.

To set a lesson as a prerequisite, just set to Mark this as Prerequisite in the Page itself and then don't forget to Publish your changes.

Once you've done that, the pages will show up with a prerequisite label in the Course Player when you preview the course as a student.

Experience as a Learner
Click on the Admin User from the top right corner & then click Visit User Site
Then click the classroom for which you want to experience the prerequisite. We have clicked Design Classes
Click on Resume Learning to navigate the table of contents. You can experience now Prerequisites here.

If a student tries to move on to contents in the section following the prerequisite content, they will see a message telling them that they need to complete the previous page(s) before they can view the next pages.
