What is a Drip Schedule?

Drip Scheduling allows you to schedule the release of your classroom content over time! A Drip Schedule allows you to control when students will have access to your classroom content, whether you have a specific launch date or want to limit the number of learning blocks that can be viewed in a certain time period.

For example, you only want students to complete one Section a week to help pace their learning. This can be achieved by applying a Drip Schedule to your classroom!

How It Works:

You can create a unique Drip Schedule per classroom, which will be applied to all students enrolled in that classroom. There are 3 Drip options:

(a) Student Enrollment Date

(b) Student Classroom Start Date

(c) On a Specific Date (ie. Calendar Date

If a student attempts to access a block that is not released yet, they will see a prompt within the student classroom navigation indicating the date and estimated time the lesson will be available. The block has a blocked icon in the student classroom Navigation to indicate the block is not accessible yet.

Drip Schedule Options

You have 3 options for how to release your content:

(a)[Student Enrollment Date

(b)[Student Classroom Start Date

(c)On a Specific Date (ie. Calendar Date

Student Enrolment Date

When creating a Drip schedule for your classroom curriculum, you have the option to set it by student enrollment date. Drip is based on when your student first enrols into your classroom. This gives every student a unique schedule based on their initial enrollment date.

This Drip option is customized in days. The day that your student first enrols into the classroom is day 0.

For example, new students could access Section 1 learning blocks immediately (day 0), have access to Section 2 learning blocks 7 days after they enrolled, and Section 3 learning blocks 14 days after, etc.

Student Classroom Start Date

When Drip is based on the CLASSROOM START DATE, the schedule will come into effect when your student accesses your classroom content for the first time. This means they need to go to the Navigation for this particular Classroom and view learning blocks.

When a student gets enrolled into your classroom on Jan 1st and they don't have a chance to start working on your classroom until Jan 5th. The Drip Schedule will start on Jan 5th when they access the classroom for the first time!

This Drip option is customized in days. The day that your student first accesses the Student Classroom Navigation for this particular classroom is day 0.

For example, as soon as a student visits the Navigation for your Classroom, they could have access to Section 1 learning block immediately (day 0), have access to Section 2 learning block 7 days after, and Section 3 learning block 14 days after, etc.

On a Specific Date

This Drip is based on a **specific calendar date for your classroom. This gives every student the same start date and releases schedule regardless of when they enrol into your classroom. This option is great for students that need to progress through a course together!

How it works:

Within your classroom Drip settings, you will be able to specify a specific release date for every learning block in your classroom.

Students will have access to the content on the calendar date set for the Drip Schedule. For example, if you set your Drip Schedule to Jan 1st, 2021, at 2 p.m. students who signed up for the classroom will get access on Jan 1st, 2021, at 2 p.m.
