Recommended Settings and Configuration for ZOOM Meetings

As an admin you have integrated your zoom account to your Online Institute. And that your online classes are running at a pace delivering interactive live sessions. But have you ever thought that you can capture these class live recordings and share across your learners.

But don't worry! This article have got you covered.

This article include detailed instructions for enabling and disabling in-meeting settings, from security features to basic and advanced meeting options.


Sign in →to the Zoom web portal as an administrator with the privilege to edit account settings.
In the navigation panel, click → Account Management then→ Account Settings



How to enable the Waiting Room



Under Security, verify that Waiting Room is enabled. If the setting is disabled, click →the toggle to enable it. If a verification dialog displays, click Turn On to verify the change.
If you want to make this setting mandatory for all learners, click →the lock icon and then click→ Lock to confirm the setting.



Note: Only Enable this option when you want your learners to hold back in a waiting room and let the host admit them to your live class individually.

How to enable passcode settings



Prerequisites for Zoom Meeting passcodes

Meetings can require passcodes for an added layer of security. Passcodes can be set at the individual meeting level or can be enabled at account level for all meetings. Account owners and admins can also lock passcode settings, to require passcodes for all meetings on their account and they can configure minimum passcode requirements.

How to enable passcode settings


Click→ the toggle to enable the Meeting Passcode while keep the lock settings ON. Check the box that says Require a passcode for meetings which have already been scheduled

Next→ enable the option Embed passcode in invite link for one-click join. Keep the lock settings→ ON.




RECORDING FUNCTIONALITY



Disable Local Recording and keep the lock settings→ ON.
Next →click to enable the cloud recording and keep the lock settings→ ON.



If you want the live session to automatically get recorded from the start itself then the option for Automatic Recording should be turned on
keeping the lock settings →ON. Also select Record In cloud.
Next make sure to→ disable the option that says Prevent hosts from accessing their cloud recordings while keeping the lock settings→ ON.



Enable Cloud recording downloads and keep the lock settings→ ON. By doing this, you are allowing anyone with a link to the cloud recording to download.




Configure Meeting Authentication Options



Disable the option Require users to authenticate before viewing cloud recordings and if you want to make this setting mandatory for all users in your account, click →the lock icon, and then click →Lock to confirm the setting .

Disable Require passcode to access shared cloud recordings and keep the lock settings→ ON.
