Creating a Channel

Click the Classrooms tab.
Navigate to the classroom for which you want to initiate a discussion on a topic.
Tap the discuss tab
Next click on create a channel (Here you create your first discussion channel to engage with your community)
Give a suitable name to the channel.(Channel name is essential as it tells your learners and instructors on what topic you are initiating a discussion)
Add a suitable description.
Next choose the channel type as Discuss - Question & Answer
Tip: Use Discuss - Question & Answer as your channel type when you want to have one conversation at a time. When you need to stay focused on a topic, use this to require each conversation to be its own thread upfront.

Note Unless you toggle the discuss tab in your Classroom Settings, students will not be able to view the discussion channel from their end.
